FREIGHT TRAVEL ALERT - MULTIPLE LANES BLOCKED

LOCATION: I-5 northbound and southbound in Seattle 

DETAILS: Full and partial lane and ramp closures on I-5 for overhead sign bridge work week of Jan. 6

11 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7:

  

Northbound I-5

  • Two right lanes of northbound I-5 at Edgar Martinez Drive S. closed.
  • Edgar Martinez Drive S. off-ramp closed.

11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 to 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8:

 

Southbound I-5

  • All lanes of southbound I-5 at S. King Street closed. All traffic shifted to the collector-distributor which runs parallel to mainline I-5.

Northbound I-5

  • Two left lanes of northbound I-5 at Olive Way closed.
  • University Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 closed.
  • Midnight to 5 a.m. - Three left lanes of northbound I-5 between South Spokane Street and the entrance to the Express Lanes closed.

11 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 to 4 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9:

 

Northbound I-5

  • Multiple lanes and ramps on northbound I-5 closed between South Spokane Street and the Olive Way off-ramp.
  • All lanes of northbound I-5 closed from 2 a.m. until 2:30 a.m. between the Seneca Street exit and Olive Way.
  • The Cherry Street off-ramp and Olive Way off-ramp closed from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m.
  • The Express Lanes operate northbound for the duration of the closures.  

11p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 to 4 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10:

 

Southbound I-5

  • All lanes of southbound I-5 closed from 2 a.m. until 2:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Northeast 85th Street.
  • Multiple lanes and the Northeast 50th off-ramp from southbound I-5 closed between Northgate Way and the Northeast 50th Street off-ramp.
  • The northeast 50th Street off-ramp closed.
  • The Express Lanes will operate southbound for the duration of the closures.

Northbound I-5

  • All lanes of northbound I-5 at S. Dearborn Street closed. All northbound traffic shifted to the collector-distributor which runs parallel to mainline I-5.
